Good Refrigerator - Craft Ice Maker questionable.

The refrigerator was purchased two years ago and we are mostly happy with performance and space. However the Craft Ice Maker has been troublesome. Service was out to replace the unit within one month of purchase. No issues with getting service or timeliness of service. The Craft Ice Maker failed once again in the past month. It is a straight-forward process to replace it so I opted to have a new ice maker shipped and would replace myself. Again the service process and delivery of replacement part occurred without issue. But replacement of the same ice maker twice in two years is an issue.

Great features but Air filter design flaw.

We have had our LG for 6 months and have loved it until it was time to replace the Air filter. It took us 3 days to try and get the air filter out. In the mean time the tab broke in the cover trying to put the cover back on. We tried calling for support to ask for help finding the part and found out the part costs $80 for just the piece of plastic cover. Support wasnt very helpful after many attempts to get help. Time to tape it on if it is just going to break again in 6 months. Pretty disappointing after spending $3000 on a fridge.

Terrible service from Home Depot. Ordered 16 Oct. was delivered 8 but delivery guys broke the shelves inside. Was promised next day delivery. Wrong. Next delivery was going to be 2 more weeks. Nope Went to Lowes next day delivery and $300 cheaper. Took forever to get my refund back as well from HD.

Took a While But Our Fridge Is Working Again

Jerid and Tyrell the tech repairmen were great when they finally came to repair our brand new LG refrigerator but it took two weeks to get anyone out here. The coordination via Frontier Tech Dispatch was spotty and LG sent us confusing texts every once in a while but once the techs were on the job the problem was quickly fixed. So were finally pretty happy with our new fridge.

I am sorry to inform you I do not own any LG refrigerator. The LG 22 cubic ft I believe it was died and could not be fixed I have been trying to get compensation from LG for the fridge since it was not even 3 years old when it quit and nobody in this area would fix it. I called where I bought it and they told me of the guy I use to fix all my appliances and he would not touch it. I am still waiting for my compensation and fighting for it talking to different people and I would hear back in a couple days from the Compensation Dept. and never heard back from them. I am so frustrated right now that I would never buy another one. I had to go out and buy a Frigidaire because I lost some of my food and no money for compensation. Understand that you sent the check to some Linzy in Texas no relation at all but you cant get that thru your heads.

I purchased in July and we loved it. However in October the craft ice maker went out. They sent a replacement with video instructions to install on your own. Received it and installed the new craft ice maker and it is still not working and hearing a weird sound.

I was excited to get an LG product. Nothing but great reviews however from day 1 when this refrigerator was delivered the water has a metallic taste. I thought It was because of the new filter and the guys that installed it said to rinse out the new filter and it should clear up by itself. Its been 2 months and it still has the metallic taste. I called the warranty company and they told me to contact LG which I did and they in turn told me to contact Home Depot where I bought it and to buy another water hose and it should clear up. I should NOT have had to make three phone calls for approximately 3 hours between the three companies and I have NOT had time to run to Home Depot to get resolved as yet Very disappointed to pay $3K for a refrigerator and CANNOT enjoy the drinking water in it.

Good Service Once You Finally Get It

Both technicians were great and once they were on the case things went well and quickly. But it took almost three weeks to get someone out to our house and many texts and messages to finally get them there. Frontier Dispatch didnt really seem to know what they were doing but alls well that ends well I guess.

We purchased our new LG refrigerator August last year. The ice makers both door and craft stopped working in early September. We have had three repair companies to our home and they replaced all kinds of things so they say and still our icemakers are not working. They have not worked for over a month and we have been on the phone with LG and others too many times. This is an expensive item and we should not have these repair issues be so encumbering. For over six weeks and we sill do not have a repaired system

No water

Upon delivery of my LG refrigerator the water dispenser did not work. Nor did the ice makers. A new mother board was installed. So far the water dispenser works but the stream is VERY slow. There is still something wrong inside the machine. Another warranty service call may be in order. Otherwise the fridge works fine.

Purchased less than two months ago. Have already had two service calls. Found out the refrigerator/freezer drawer does not have a self closing mechanism like the previous model binds opening and closing and squeaks. Ice/water display is not backlight so you cant see what selection youre making unless bright lights are on. Other convenient features have been removed too. Do your research before you buy read lots of reviews.

I like the product layout and features. The customizability of the shelves and flexible drawer are very handy. I had some parts in the coolant system fail prematurely and the repair failed and had to be re-done after an issue unfortunately. That was annoying but everything was handled under warranty relatively promptly by friendly and professional service folks without any attempts to weasel out of their responsibilities. Itd be better if there were no problems obviously but maybe just drew the statistical short straw. Id still probably recommend this model to friends/family.

Have owned this now for a couple of weeks. Lots of room in fridge and freezer Holds temperature very well. Interior lighting is not very effective when the fridge is fully stocked - could use some LEDs in the back. In-door water and ice dispenser works very well. It is cumbersome to access the ice stored in the door. The craft ice in the freezer is a nice feature that makes nearly clear ice balls. Making nearly clear ice is a slow process it makes just 3/day but this is fine after several days. Am really surprised how effective the door in door feature is - it covers about 80 of the daily access - great

Purchased new refrigerator and it would not get cold. Waited 24 hours and still not cold. LG technician came out and said compressor would need to be replaced. This is like purchasing a new car and the engine is bad. Replacement has been scheduled but causes inconvenience in schedule.

Customer service was argumentative about the problem I described after spending more than an hour with 3 reps LG acknowledged my issue was a known problem and sent a new ice maker and asked that I install it myself

We really enjoy this LG fridge...its the most attractive one we have ever had enjoy the drawer that can be a freezer or fridge easy to keep clean large bright lights inside. Easy to move out to clean behind as well. it also runs really quiet. We really enjoy the very large ice cube its been a real conversation event when we have guest over. We have other LG products as well. Ive told our friends to go get one of these beautiful appliances.

I was finally able to do the remodel and Im thrilled to say that I absolutely love this fridge The door-in-door and the freeze /fridge option of the middle drawer are so convienient The layout is great and there is so much room for everything that it looks half empty even when I have all loaded in all my meat fruit produce. Ive been eyeing this LG Refrigerator for a few years now waiting for the time $$ to remodel our kitchen. It finally came time and I was able to get this fridge. I absolutely love it Its so convienient with the door-in-door and the middle optional fridge/freezer drawer for my most used items but my favorite thing is the Craft Ice Just 1 ice ball is very slow to melt keeps a drink cold for over 2 hours So far I couldnt be more pleased with this purchase.
