I bought this LG AC about 1 year ago everything was working great except that it keeps leaking. I tried everything on their site but cant seem to fix the problem if anyone has any recommendations feel free to write a review explains what I might be doing wrong

Solid Performing Unit

Bought this last summer for a room with neither heating or cooling. I believe the room was once a three season porch that had drywall slapped onto it so insulation is next to nothing and the temperature fluctuations were huge. Im happy to report that both the cooling and heating functionality of this unit have made the room more tolerable. This is in scorching Wisconsin summer heat and the unbearable winters. My only reason for removing a star is the plastic window insert. It has no insulation and is difficult to seal properly. I ended up custom constructing an insulated wooden insert that sits perfectly in the window which improved cool/heat loss significantly. The water tank fills up faster than other portable ACs I have used but emptying it is not a huge problem. The heat-pump drain produces minimal moisture as well. Be aware that in heating mode the unit flaps between heating and standby mode. I initially thought my unit was defective but it appears it was designed this way to conserve energy. Id prefer running it full steam until my desired temp is reached. Noise levels are what youd expect with a portable AC unit.

I bought this model a month ago and I can start off by saying that it cools my room great. I live in the high desert of California and when the swamp cooler doesnt work this is the next best thing. Now comes the issues. 2 weeks after purchase when the compressor kicks on it sounds like someone kicks the side of the unit. Very annoying. 2nd big issue is after 2 weeks it started rattling. Didnt think too much of it but now the darn thing rattles like crazy loud as if something inside is broken or loose. I thought it was the swing function but after disabling it it continues to rattle like crazy. Cmon LG i have your tvs with no issues. Something needs to be done about this problem please. Either come fix this darn thing or bring me a replacement.

Worst AC ever purchased

Bought this air conditioner a few weeks ago and it is easily the worst air conditioner Ive ever purchased in my entire life. Many conditions need to be met before this AC can even function properly and cool the given space. The LG website does a good job of outlining those conditions however my unit did not cool my space down even after doing everything. I just bought a new air conditioner today from another company and it works just fine which leaves me to believe that this is just a big piece of garbage. In fact if the company reached out to me today and gave me a free air conditioner I would throw it in the garbage. I wouldnt pay a dollar for this laughable piece of garbage they call an air conditioner. Theyre asking me to rate the product but the lowest is 1 star. The true rating would be negative 5 stars. LG please stick to making TVs although youre not really good at that either.
