I just had this dishwasher installed today. I bought a Bosch because the one I had was a Bosch and because Consumer Reports gave a good rating. My old one was 14 and a half years old. I only gave 3 star since it is new and I don't know how it will work. Very quiet. Installer did not know how to change settings and I hope I can. Also my old one was white. This one has a more modern look -ok. I just hope I can adjust the settings as the pamphlet does not give much detail.

It was very apparent when comparing our old dishwasher to the new Bosch dishwasher that there is a HUGE difference in quality. Our old dishwasher was mid-level, and the Bosch far surpasses it in both workmanship and materials. The installation instructions are clear with plenty of diagrams. The new Bosch is so quiet you almost cannot tell it is running (but it is!). You can barely hear the water filling the dishwasher, during the wash cycle, or as the water is pumped from the unit. The touch feature of setting the features takes a little getting used to; that is, you have to press a little longer than the old-style buttons on our old dishwasher. One item I wish we could adjust is the "child protect" feature that keeps the children from playing with the buttons. After you press START, you have to close the door within 4 seconds, or the dishwasher won't start. I wish there were an option to disable this feature or set the door-closing time to more than 4 seconds. The lastly, it does a GREAT job of cleaning the dishes.

Will Never Buy Bosch AGAIN

Purchased dishwasher 2/20/26 Dishwasher threw error code 3/30/26 and stopped working Have had multiple calls with Bosch filed a case number with them have been hung up on by one of their customer service agents requested a call from managment on 5/7/26 (over a month ago) because we have had a tech out here twice for repair and can not repair it and I have yet to receive a call back from managment. Everytime we call back we keep getting told something is missing from the file. At this point I want them to come pick up the dishwasher and refund my money but managment is the only one who can authorize that and they will not call me back! This is very poor customer service.

So far we really like our Bosch 800 Series Dishwasher. But 6 months in, it no longer drains. It takes days to get help and there are no service / repair techs in my area, so it will take a special case to get this fixed.

We bought a 1500.00 dishwasher from Best Buy and it's not what was advertised. It is supposed to have crystal dry. I run it at night and when I open the door in the morning everything is wet including the door, inside, all the dishes. I have to leave the door open and It takes all day for everything to dry or I have to hand dry everything. It is not whisper quiet as we can hear it while the streaming shows. I think we have a defective dishwasher and I want to return it. We purchased the 800 series dishwasher. Worst purchase ever for us.

Absolutely without a doubt the best dishwasher out there. It is so quiet that it worries me that it isn't working, but it is always working. I just cannot hear it. The dishes come clean with ease and the 3rd rack for silverware is life changing along with the middle rack being adjustable for larger items on the bottom. I never thought I needed an app for a dishwasher but it absolutely comes in handy. This is one of if not the best appliance purchase I have ever made!

Pros... So quiet! Cleans so well, love how the plastics are dry now (of course water still gathers in deeper places on dishes but MUCH drier then in our last dishwasher). Love the 3rd rack on top for smaller items. Cons... Still smells like hot rubber when in use, even after 2 months of use. Not terrible, but definitely a scent. Only gave it 4 out of 5 stars bc of smell, otherwise we love it!!

We have an open plan kitchen and it is whisper quiet - if it wasn;t for the red light toward the floor you wouldn't know it was running, Reliable, efficient and cleans dishes brilliantly even on quick wash. When my son told me what a great machine his 300 series dishwasher was it seemed too good to be true. When my ancient dishwasher started emptying on the floor instead of the drain I knew it was time. I checked the consumer reports and the 800 series took all the top spots followed by the 3 series and then the 5 series. So I bit. So far I am so impressed with the workmanship and features I couldn't be happier with it. I particularly like the automatic setting. Selectitand it uses AI to determine the best settings based on dirt level and who knows what else. But it works and dishes one out spotless. It's also so quiet you can barely hear it standing in the same room.

Unfortunately, this beautiful machine was defective out of the box. A Bosch Certified Repair Agent confirmed that the main panels were defective. Trying to get a replacement unit for this machine on which we spent over $1K, has been a nightmare of delays, hoops to jump through and excuses from the manufacturer's customer service representatives. I am hoping, once this mess is resolved satisfactorily, that I can report the unit runs exceptionally well, as would be expected from a premiere manufacturer such as Bosch. Until then, the experience has left a decidedly negative view of this hallowed company.

Purchased to replace a previous Bosch 800 series dishwasher. We were very happy with the previous machine and did not hesitate to purchase a new replacement. Noticed that a couple of accessories that were included on the orevious machine must now be purchased separately. Installation was easy and it is performing exceptionally well. Previous lower each was much better than what's currently offered. Middle and upper racks are Basically the same. Bosch should consider bringing back the old lower rack design as it was much more flexible for loading. Most of the times were able to be folded down on the old rack.

This dishwasher replaced a Bosch I bought in 2011. Both were recommended by Consumer Reports. However, this one is so much better than my old one. It cleans without needing to pre-rinse. I can start it remotely or even schedule a time for it to start. I love the three levels. It's a great dishwasher for me.

Almost flimsy but still so quiet!

This machine that I got at Home Depot is flimsy feeling; door is very lightweight and rotates a little if you open it anywhere but from the middle of the handle. I don't know if this is the difference between getting one from Lowes vs Home Depot or if the manufacturer is cutting corners on materials; my previous one (at another house) I got 3 years ago was from Lowes and it was sturdier and the arrangement of the lower rack was different/better than this one from Home Depot. This one cost even more and it works fine but if I had it to do over again I'd go to Lowes or try to figure out what the differences are on different models. Despite all this you can't beat Bosch for quiet operation, which is so important in open concept living.

Love our dishwasher!

We purchased the Bosch 800 series about a month ago, and absolutely love it! Our old dishwasher took 4+ hours to complete a cycle, and would not dry the dishes throughly. We no longer have that problem. I can do multiple loads a day and don't have to worry about getting water all over the floor.

Didn't like the cutlery rack on the top, took it out as it impedes tall glass placement below (even at the second rack lowest). Also didn't like the half size cutlery rack.

Great washer - Racking needs improvement

This washer is quiet, cleans and dries well. Is only drawback is the racking. Spacing of the tines makes it difficult to stack thicker plates and bowls. This limits the overall capacity. The function is great - crystal dry feature works well. It won't dry pooled water but is way better at drying than our last dishwasher.

Love how it cleans and dries the dishes. I also like the adjustability of the racks. I'd originally purchased another manufacturer high end dishwasher and wasn't pleased with the way it cleaned and limited adjustability of the racks. I ended up returning it and getting a Bosch. The difference was great.

Not up to Bosch standards

We purchased the 800 series dishwasher and had it professionally installed. It worked great for 3 weeks until we noticed a crack had developed across the plastic door panel top where the controls are. Sealing with Bosch warranty was, no other words come to mind, stupid. Two representatives tried to weasel out of the warranty saying they didn't cover " cosmetic issues'". Once I pointed out this was a flaw in the workmanship and assembly procedure, they still tried to make excuses to not cover the issue. We finally reached an impass, and they agreed to honor the warranty. Honestly won't buy another Bosch product because of the arrogant attitude they have towards poor quality being pointed out.

Quiet Machine

We've been using the dishwasher for nearly a month and are very happy with its washing and drying performance. It's so quiet, thankfully for the red in use beam. We have young children, so we a lot of unbreakable dishware we are still figuring out which setting is best to adequately dry it.

Hard to set up

As a senior, it was a challenge to set up a new dishwasher without a hard copy manual, but even with this, everything relied on setting up Home Connect via WIFI. I was also disappointed with the ability to customise settings to meet my needs, with a minimum duration program of 1hr 20mins (my previous Bosch had a 38 minute that worked just fine), plus certain options I wanted could only be selected with different programs. Once I finally got a program set up, I removed the top rack completely (totally useless and prevented proper stacking of middle rack) and now works fine, but still miss my old manual Bosch!

We bought this dishwasher b/c it got great reviews. I HATE the top drawer for silverware. You can't fit a yeti or wine glass without removing the top silverware drawer but then there is not enough room for silverware in the dinky basket they give you for the bottom rack. Overall, it cleans really well and is Super quiet but I really HATE the top silverwatre rack.

We recently purchased a Bosch dishwasher for the first time with the help of consulting an article in Consumer Reports, and we're very pleased with its performance. It is extremely quiet and with the assistance of a red light which reflects onto the floor from the bottom of the appliance, we know when the cycle is finished. There are several settings with options to customize for each load and dishes, cups, bowls, and utensils have come out clean and dry. In this new dishwasher, there is also an extra top tray to arrange flatware which we really like. Thank you Bosch for designing such a great product!
