Unhappy with new machine 6/4/2026

This machine is much louder than advertised. Upon delivery I was surprised at the noise and download an app that registers dBa's. The average volume registered was 50 (this is advertised as a 44 dBa machine). The kitchen is right next to our bedroom and we run the machine, typically, at night. Home Depot sent a technician out to look at things to make sure all was well and I was assured that the e machine was installed correctly and this is the sound that they make. I am not going to go through the hassle of replacing/ doing more research/ or dealing with more salesmen. The dishes come out clean. But if you are looking for a quite machine this may not be the purchase you want to make.

Overall, we like this appliance. Cleans as it should. Able to set features with the iphone app. Unfortunately, when the unit is done cleaning, there is no indication that the dishes are clean so if wife runs and I don't know that, I have no idea that the dishes are clean. Would be nice to have a light on the panel that lets us know the dishes are clean. Otherwise, good.

I love my Bosch dishwasher. Everything comes out clean. I can load it with more dishes than my last one. The rack design allows flexibility for my larger cutting boards, glassware, and bowls. I also have several options for placement of utensils based on size and shape. It is very quiet. One of my favorite features is the auto dry. I start it in the evening and when I come to the kitchen in the morning, the door has popped open just a few inches to remind me it's done and dishes are dry.

I love my Bosch series 500. It washes and cleans dishes superbly. It was very easy to install. I really appreciate how the middle rack is adjustable for different sized dishes in the bottom rack. My favorite component is the "Air Dry" when the door pops open after the wash cycle is complete. This is super handy for running dishes at night or before going on vacation.

Having a terrible time to get unit to run. All lights come on but it will not let me program wash cycles. Finall got it to work when I did it with the door open. But it will not let the lights stay on so I know which cycle it is on. The only light that is on is the red light on the floor. This is not a good setup.

A purchase of the BOSCH 500 dishwasher was made after careful review of the product features and reviews submitted by other purchasers. This unit was offered during a special sale at my local LOWES store and offered a significant savings. The installation instuctions are easy to understand and I was able to self install without difficulty. I do have knowledge and experience in electrical and plumbing work and would encourage purchasers to have at least a basic knowledge and skill in these areas if you intend to do a self install. Otherwise, contact a qualified installer to do your install. The unit does operate well and cleans the items loaded. This unit has a variety of features that allow the operator to select washing cycles of their choice. It shoud also be noted that this is a pleasently quiet unit while in operation. At this point, I would recommend this unit to others.

It's SO quiet! I can hear it when the potscrubber feature is on. Not "as quiet" (4 decibles louder)but the concentrated scrubbing is worth the small price difference. Third rack holds a lot of flatware. Online controls of cycles, rinse aid dispensing, and notifications. I'm definitely happy with my choice of brand and model!

Washes as Well as My Clean Anything 2001 Model

I have used a few dishwashers over the past 25 years and the best washer I ever had was one manufactured in 2001. It had a cheap plastic tub, but you could put anything in it and use the cheapest powdered detergent and it would come out clean. I have had two other dishwashers in the interim. None was a Cafe and the other was a GE. The Cafe was in a house that I bought and sold and the GE was in my current house. When that unit died, I put my old 2001 dishwasher in its place. It worked like magic for all of those years until it finally died This Bosch unit cleans just as well and is significantly quieter. I highly recommend purchasing their dishwasher.

I bought a 500 series Bosch dishwasher to replace one tht died. This dishwasher is so quiet, compared to my previous dishwashers, that I couldn't hear it while it was running. I was unable to know it weas running except for the red light on the floor. I needed to call the Bosch 800 number to get the Home Connect app to connect to the dishwasher but with their help all is well. The app allows for almost unlimited choices in how I want to program the dishwasher. I like that I can lift the upper basket up or down depending on the size of items in the lower basket. I also like the upper silverware tray so I can remove the silverware basket from the lower tray an reclaim that space for dishes. I have only used the dishwasher once and some of the dishes weren't completely dry. But I have increased the drying time in the app so I hope that solves the problem.
