We did a complete kitchen remodel and tore out the cabinets and microwave above the cooktop, replacing it with a counter to ceiling backsplash. We wanted a functional hood that would blend it but not take away from the backsplash. This is perfect. I love the glass hood and I am very happy with the space for cooking. The fan has 3 speeds and is not annoying. The light is weak but serviceable. I like this hood but wish the light was brighter.

I bought this months ago and it works great, the only thing that I don't like now is when you push the buttons on the front to regulate fan speed. Buttons are loose and every time fall down on my range. That's bad specially if you are cooking something without lid.

Most range hoods have slow fan speeds....this unit has a 400 cfm, three speed fan, MINIMUM speed for a GAS range...while I chose an electric range, the extra air movement is appreciated, especially since we had to use the recirculating kit...the modern stainless design with glass top is superb and really sets off a very modest kitchen....love it !....suggestions----the light is less than satisfactory... Poorly lights top of range....today's technology should allow LED strip lighting to surround filter insert (dimmable, please) and a variable speed fan rather than 3 speed would be better.... Overall, very pleased with product, a good value for the price

The hood was just installed and looks great but the bulb burnt out as soon as we turned it on. Cannot find a replacement bulb locally. Called Whirlpool and they cannot send me a replacement bulb or tell me where to get one. So annoyed with the service.

We had our kitchen remodeled and the construction guy installed this hood last week. The look is good, but runs extremely loud and it vibrates. Is this normal or did the guy install it wrong?

We bought a complete Whirlpool Gold suite of appliances for our kitchen and could not be happier! We choose Whirlpool after an extensive search of products during the construction of our new home. We based it upon past experiences, reviews of other people and Whirlpools reputation for a quality product. We use the cooktop hood daily and it performs flawlessly every time. I would, and do, recommend Whirlpool for anyones next appliance purchase.

Love the look it was a package with our house however the buttons always pop off and that started about 6 months in. Luckily we haven't lost one yet I almost threw it away the first time because I didn't notice it happen. Now after a year and 4 months the motor is broken.... Trying to find a fix and can't find anything....really disappointing the repair better not cost more than $100 noticed most whirlpool products have some malfunction as soon as the warranty has run out

As advertised this hood delivers as promised for looking good and performing. We had it installed primarily to extract smoke, steam and grease from our new kitchen and to save the new backsplash and it does all that. But most people only notice how awesome it looks and goes with the new kitchen. Recommend and I don't often write reviews.

This hood was installed in my new home and looks great. We have a countertop range beneath it and the simple design of both products really make the kitchen look clean and classy. Fingerprints are the biggest culprit for the hood however, especially on the stainless steel portion underneath the glass hood. Overall, I would recommend the look and feel of this vent hood to my friends.

I bought this ventilation hood for two simple reasons. It performs extremely well, venting a large volume of cooking fumes with very little noise, and it does so with elegant good looks unmatched by any other vent hood I have ever seen. I have used this same model at a relative's house for some time; and when it came time to remodel my own kitchen there was no question which hood I was going to buy.

We did installation and would have gone quicker if instructions clarified the different screws. Looks so nice hung up and the blower turned on high really pulls the smoke and moisture out. We also purchased and installed recirculating kit and really works well. No need to connect outside.

I've had my range hood just over a year and a button popped off, so now when I push the power button for the fan, another button flies off! I have to put my other hand over the rest of the buttons to keep them in place. AND the fan is too loud.

This is a great product! I've installed 6, so far. I would like for the rough dimensions (especially the width) of the vent section to be printed on the outside of the box. This would help because it will easily allow the contractor to pre-place the wiring/electrical behind this area (before the vent hood is actually on site. The more planning and pre-figuring that can be done before such expensive appliances are on site, the better. This allows the physical construction work to be completed beforehand. Thank you for another outstanding product!!!

We redid our kitchen and bought a new hood vent for our range. The old one was an under the cover version that really didn't seem to do much. This one absolutely helps clear the kitchen air and keep it clean, and it's wonderfully quiet, we actually left it on several times when we first started used it!

This is a beautifully designed hood and its stainless steel color matches the other trim (chrome satin nickel light and plumbing fixtures) in our home. We installed a gas range and a hood was required (could not be a microwave/hood combo). This unit offers three-speed venting and a light over the cook service. It removes steam efficiently.

Ordered on line along with a fridge and dishwasher. The order was delayed 3 different times by Whirlpool/Maytag shipping and took a month longer than expected, BUT once I received the product I installed the range hood myself and love the hood and fan. Very quiet, and that was important to us for our kitchen.

I wanted a hood that was contemporary and fabricated of stainless steel. I just adore the addition of the curved glass to this hood. It is visually lighter and quite elegant. It's a lovely counterpoint to the mosaic tiles and dark Shaker doors.

The range hood is the centerpiece of my kitchen. The glass is clean and elegant and gets a lot of notice. The installation was done by Lowes with no problems. It does not vent to the outdoors--I was concerned about the recirculation but it seems to function well. The light is nice and the hood is not too noisy.

I have always had a traditional exhaust fan ovver my stove and was a little nervous about going with an exposed hood. The fan was easy to wire for, easy to lay out and it looks beautiful. We used a recircluating kit, which was as easy to install as the fan itself. Couldn't be happier

This product was purchased and we've had no issues with it. In fact when friends see it they are impressed with design and look of it. It is not bulky like the traditional products in this category. The style is great and definitley compliments the kitchen. It's easy to clean. The mesh filter is easy to remove and clean which is a definite plus.
