It dries clothes better and faster than previous dryer - which was a Whirlpool Duet Gas Dryer.Power button is too sensitive - if you barely brush up against it the machine goes on. The start button is too insensitive.

Best purchase I have made this year

So far the Maytag Maxima Gas Dryer is everything the salesperson said it would be. The capacity of the dryer is the largest so far, the quiet operating of the dryer is a blessing and the features are all a person could ask for and more. I bought the additional pedestal base and at my age it saves a lot of bending. I have had 2 Maytag washers and they have performed well for me. I expect the dryer to be a comploiment to the washer.
